Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Operations Supervisor I to join our team at ArcBest ABF Freight in Denver, CO. As a valued member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising the efficient and safe loading/unloading of freight during assigned shifts, coordinating work assignments, providing training, maintaining a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the loading/unloading of freight to ensure timely and safe operations.
• Assign tasks to workers based on schedules and monitor performances.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations when necessary.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all personnel and customers.
• Promote and enforce safe handling and storage practices for hazardous materials.
• Support a values-driven culture emphasizing creativity, integrity, collaboration, and wellness.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve department goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in service center or transportation a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general knowledge of freight operations.
• Prior supervisory experience and familiarity with freight handling techniques.
