Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for various in-store activities such as merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment. Working collaboratively with the Aldi team, you will play a key role in enhancing the overall customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and upholding company standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills expected for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their store visit.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts following guidelines.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize discrepancies.
• Comply with company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to work at Aldi.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Capable of performing general cleaning tasks to company standards.
• Interpret and apply company policies accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Work independently and in a team environment effectively.
• Stay organized, attentive to detail, follow instructions, and multitask efficiently.
• Comply with state and local regulations for alcohol handling and sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
