Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a full-time team member, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store, from cashiering to stocking shelves and maintaining a clean environment. Your dedication to providing exceptional customer service and your ability to work collaboratively with the ALDI team will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays neatly.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
• Offer feedback to management on products, inventory issues, and operational matters.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize losses and uphold company standards.
• Adhere to all company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safely operate equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness according to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
• Meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
• A blend of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
