Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day store activities, overseeing overall store performance, and developing operational strategies. You will also focus on team growth by identifying training opportunities to enhance skills and performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve store operations
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance
- Ensure adherence to company strategy and values, fostering teamwork among employees
- Monitor the competitive environment and make recommendations for maintaining competitiveness
- Participate in the store personnel interviewing process
- Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed
- Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels
- Supervise team operations and escalate issues as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve operational concerns
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience in retail management preferred
- Ability to lead and work within a team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of budgeting, personnel costs, and retail operations
- Proficient in cash register operation and equipment handling
