Job Description
We are seeking a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By collaborating with the ALDI team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) expected for the role.
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize displays.
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
- Follow all company policies for security, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stock shelves and move products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Regularly required to perform various physical tasks around the store.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older to work at ALDI.
- Proven ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient cash register operation and equipment handling skills.
- Experience with general cleaning duties and following company procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
- Meet all state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience is a plus.
- A combination of education and experience is acceptable.
