Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of the store, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Your role will contribute to enhancing the customer shopping experience through exceptional customer service and teamwork with the Aldi team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers effectively.
• Communicate clearly with team members and store management.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by participating in store inventory counts and monitoring product levels.
• Follow cash policies to minimize losses and uphold company procedures.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain store standards.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining document security.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safely operate equipment like floor scrubbers and hand jacks.
• Interpret and apply company policies accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask effectively.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is a plus.
