Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. You will collaborate with the ALDI team to deliver outstanding customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and other store-related matters
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security measures
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safe use of equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers
- Maintain cleanliness of the store to company standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
