Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of the store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience. Your collaboration with the Aldi team and dedication to outstanding customer service will be key to your success in this role.

Role Overview

Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills in daily tasks.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, share feedback on products, and report any issues.
• Follow cash handling procedures to ensure minimal losses.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain security, and uphold confidentiality standards.
• Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities diligently.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prompt and courteous customer service skills.
• Proficiency in operating a cash register and store equipment safely.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior retail experience (preferred).
• A mix of education and relevant experience is acceptable.
