Job Description

We are looking to hire a Checker/Driver (Non-Exempt) to join our team at ArcBest II ABF Freight in Honolulu, HI. If you are a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, this position could be perfect for you. Our City Drivers at ABF Freight play a crucial role in maintaining positive customer relationships by ensuring timely and efficient delivery of cargo.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various locations, typically in the proximity of the consolidation/distribution center.
• Utilize up-to-date technology for loading and unloading trailers, following established procedures.
• Actual duties and schedules may vary based on terminal location requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
• At least 1 year of tractor/trailer experience is preferred. Training may be available for candidates with less experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and HAZMAT endorsements.
• Stable work record and a strong work ethic are highly desired.
• Clean driving records (MVR and previous employers) are mandatory.
• Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug screening and medical requirements.
