Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Store Management Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training to prepare you for the responsibilities of managing a store effectively. You will be involved in supervising daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing schedules, and developing operational plans while mentoring and leading the team towards success.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day store operations to deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Communicate and embody the company's values to foster teamwork and employee engagement.
  • Manage customer concerns and ensure resolutions are provided promptly.
  • Maintain store signage and uphold product quality standards.
  • Participate in the hiring process and manage staff scheduling.
  • Establish job expectations and performance objectives for team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend advancements as necessary.
  • Ensure store payroll and budgets are met.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and make recommendations to stay competitive.
  • Provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Oversee product merchandising and manage inventory efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated customer service and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of retail management principles.
  • Experience with cash register operation and equipment handling.
  • High school diploma preferred with at least 3 years of retail experience.
  • Prior management experience is beneficial.
