Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the store's optimal operation by handling merchandising, cashiering, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness levels. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with team members, you will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Execute tasks following ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) guidelines.
- Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any feedback to store management.
- Participate in inventory procedures and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies to prevent losses.
- Comply with company policies, uphold data security, and confidentiality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
- Proficiency in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient operation of cash registers and store equipment.
- Ability to follow company standards for cleaning and operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking effectively.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
- A combination of education and practical experience equivalent to retail knowledge.
