Job Description
We are currently seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Stocker to join our team at Aldi. As a Warehouse Stocker, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming stock, organizing merchandise, preparing shipments, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety standards. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the warehouse team and management.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders.
- Relocate merchandise according to handling guidelines.
- Sort, load, and unload merchandise for shipment.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
- Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
- Communicate effectively with peers, suppliers, and management.
- Provide input for process improvements.
- Inspect product quality and address safety concerns.
- Work independently within assigned responsibilities.
- Achieve budgeted goals and follow company procedures.
- Operate equipment safely and follow ergonomic guidelines.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Demonstrated conscientiousness, teamwork, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and handle products up to 45 pounds.
- Moving merchandise and preparing deliveries.
- Standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking.
- Work in varying temperatures and operate industrial equipment.
