Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's appearance, assisting customers, and working collaboratively with the ALDI team to provide exceptional service.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts competencies, and professional skills.
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management.
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses.
- Follow company policies, maintain document security, and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to provide courteous customer service.
- Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
- Perform general cleaning tasks according to company standards.
- Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask efficiently.
- Meet all state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail experience is a plus.
