Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure a top-notch shopping experience for our customers. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting overall store operations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers in their retail experience.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with store management.
• Monitor and report product issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational concerns.
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize financial losses.
• Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to work at ALDI.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently and accurately operate a cash register.
• Safely handle equipment like hand jacks, scrubbers, and balers.
• Understand and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently.
• Meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales, if applicable.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
