Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced VP, Late Development Team Lead in Oncology to join our global biopharmaceutical company, Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As the Late Development Team Lead, you will play a critical role in the late product lifecycle, leading the Late Development Team in developing and executing global product strategies. This position requires a strong executive with exceptional leadership skills, in-depth scientific understanding, and experience in late-stage drug development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional Late Development Teams in product strategy and execution from proof of concept to approval
  • Establish a vision and strategy for the product in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Identify strategic global development opportunities and optimize value for patients
  • Develop global Integrated Product Development Plans for governance approval
  • Provide strategic guidance to functional matrix teams and activities
  • Mentor team members and set clear expectations for roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leaders to align on development strategy and optimize product value
  • Ensure timely escalation of risks and issues to senior leaders and governance committees
  • Lead collaborations, alliances, and strategic projects with high visibility
  • Contribute to disease area assessments and portfolio-level initiatives
  • Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of global multidisciplinary drug development experience in pharma/biotech industry
  • Proven success in leading strategic multi-functional environments and delivering results through matrix teams
  • Experience in late-phase Solid Tumor Oncology drug development and regulatory submissions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound, timely decisions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on diversity and inclusion
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required
