Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Plumber to join our team at Berkshire Mechanical. In this role, you will perform diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential and light-commercial environments. You will hold a master plumbing and/or gas license as required by governmental regulations and ensure that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a professional manner
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems in various environments
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Locate and mark positions for pipe installations in structures
- Review blueprints and building codes for work requirements
- Inspect systems to detect and locate leaks
- Ensure proper maintenance of company property and vehicles
- Represent the company professionally in all business activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with plumbing training
- Seven years' experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation
- Plumbing and/or gas license as required
- EPA and safety certifications
- Knowledge of national, state, and local plumbing code regulations
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in plumbing tools
- Effective communication and time-management skills
- Familiarity with HVAC industry preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable record
- Ability to work flexible hours and in various environmental conditions
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver as necessary
