Microbiology Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Microbiology Supervisor to join our team at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As a Day Shift Microbiology Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective operations of the department and upholding quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Enforce sectional and departmental policies and procedures.
• Monitor supply purchases and worked hours, adjusting personnel scheduling as needed.
• Act as the primary resource for technical personnel, providing guidance and support.
• Develop, review, and revise policy manuals to ensure compliance with accrediting agencies.
• Evaluate technical performance and competency of staff.
• Establish relationships with employees, supporting them in achieving their goals.
• Take charge of identifying and resolving departmental issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MT/MLT certification from ASCP required.
• 5-7 years of experience in a hospital lab setting.
