Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of patients throughout the perioperative process. From pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure care and education, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive patient-centered care. Additionally, this role offers the opportunity to gain expertise in two of the three areas of Perioperative Services: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate perioperative experiences for patients.
• Monitor patients during procedures and assist physicians.
• Evaluate outcomes and prevent complications.
• Provide effective pain management and patient/family education.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in New York State.
• Completion of CVPH critical care course or challenge exam.
• Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience.
• ACLS certification, PALS within 12 months.
