Assistant Retail Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Retail Supervisor to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will assist the store manager in overseeing daily store operations, managing schedules, and developing action plans to enhance performance. As an integral part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the store's success through effective leadership and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement action plans to improve store performance.
• Oversee and guide team members, setting expectations for performance and providing training opportunities.
• Communicate company strategy and values, fostering teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Monitor the competition and make recommendations to maintain the store's competitive edge.
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash policies are followed to minimize losses.
• Maintain store cleanliness, proper signage, and stock levels.
• Supervise day-to-day operations, escalating issues when necessary.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, ensuring security and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Operational and budget management skills.
• Proficient in cash register operation and equipment handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years retail experience, with management experience preferred.
